Johann Wilhelm Weinmann

These exquisite original hand-colored engravings were found in the first botanical book to use color printed mezzotints successfully. The Weinmann's are very sought after and, being true original color, they are most unique in the botanical engravings of the 18th Century. They were published in Regensburg, Germany, 1745. They are all single folio and measure approximately 13" high by 8½" wide.
