Cary
These copperplate engraved maps with original line color are by John Cary, London, 1792. All of the forests are nicely colored and it indicates from whence the roads come and in some instances where they are going as they leave the shire. A half of a stylized wind rose completes the top of these very interesting maps. The paper is very lightly time-toned, otherwise fine. The image area measures 5-3/4 in. high by 3-3/4 wide.
